YOU SAID IT’S RIGHT HERE explores childhood rumours, superstitions and folk stories, and how they can create real fear even when they are fictional. The project began with my memory of the eight-legged chicken rumour and developed into three short films about body mutation, hidden danger and omens of fate. Through white objects, real locations, natural sounds and narration, I turn spoken stories into visual experiences that feel close to reality. The work asks why people believe strange stories, how fear is shaped by memory and repetition, and how fictional rumours can become emotionally powerful. By combining film, objects and atmosphere, the project creates a quiet and unsettling space where personal memory and cultural belief meet.
