The Allegory presents Alan Tir: The Silent Broker

Alan Tir: The Silent Broker tells the story of a corrupt medieval mathematician who invents a device, the Palantir, able to detect patterns in data, using this as a tool to gain influence amongst those in power. Ring any bells?
The way in which stories are told in the news has an incredible influence on how we interpret the events themselves. The Allegory (@theallegorynews) is a platform exploring how fictional storytelling can utilised as an alternative mode of journalism. If news stories are told as allegories, removed from their original context and placed into fictional settings, can we bring light to subjects neglected by the mainstream? This first series is the story of Palantir, a Silicon Valley tech firm specialising in AI software; but you’re not meant to know that (initially).
